Each day we receive numerous enquiries, offers, and joint-venture proposals from companies and organisations in the commodities and services industries in countries all over the world. The resulting pool of contacts and information may contain items of particular interest to you.

How to get in touch

1. You can get in touch with these prospective business partners via our Service Centre. The companies and organisations that send us queries know about our service and are waiting to hear directly from business contacts like yourself. Local businesses have benefited from this free business match-making agency for many years, and so can you. Drop in to our Service Centre. It's located on the ground floor of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce building, next to the Chamber's reference library. Tell us what country you–re interested in doing business with, and our Service Centre team will give you access to the relevant country files and/or trade fair folders.
2. We also strongly recommend that you try out the international cooperation database run by the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) and the German Chambers of Commerce in Germany (IHKs). On the E-Trade Centre website at www.e-trade-center.com you can search more than 5,000 offers and enquiries; the website has over 50,000 visitors every month. You can use the database to research your business idea or post a query free of charge. The site is in English and German.
3. You might also want to visit the Foreign Trade Gate Hamburg at www.aussenwirtschaftszentrum.de. This portal is operated by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and eight other Hamburg-based institutions. It contains additional information that you may find useful when initiating foreign-trade business contacts.
