Looking after your interests: developing attractive commercial centres

To be successful, small and medium-sized retail outlets, restaurants, bars, cafés and service providers need to be located in areas that attract great numbers of potential customers. The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is committed to ensuring that Hamburg's city centre and its urban business districts remain attractive and multifunctional and thus continue to draw large numbers of customers. We help to ensure that business districts remain accessible to all forms of transportation, and that public spaces are safe, functional and pleasing to the eye.

We are working closely with Hamburg's political leaders and administrators to ensure that the city's business districts continue to attract a great number of visitors.

City Management, Marketing and Promotion

At the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, we work hard in the interests of small and medium-sized companies. This includes a close co-operation with city managers and communities of interests to attract new business to Hamburg and thus promote a lively, thriving city centre and attractive urban areas. We assist the real estate owners and entrepreneurs who implement business improvement districts (BIDs) or who already use this model of public private partnership to upgrade their neighbourhood.
